The Luminae MPU5 / 163 Radio Pouch
is a lightweight, no-moving-parts radio pouch designed for speed, simplicity, and security. Built for reliable one-handed operation, it allows the user to insert and remove the radio quickly while maintaining positive retention at all times.
The main body of the pouch is constructed from Curv thermoplastic material, giving it structure and rigidity while also acting as a thermal barrier between the radio and the user. This helps reduce the heating effect of certain radios when worn for prolonged periods.
Designed to simply work, the pouch uses a fixed Multicam elastic base
to support and retain the radio, combined with adjustable shock cord retention at the top
to keep it secure. This system allows the retention buckle to stretch over long antennas while still maintaining firm tension on the radio. It also keeps the majority of radio contacts, PTT ports, and connector points clear and unobstructed.
The buckle releases quickly and cleanly when needed. When re-securing the radio, it gives a positive click, letting the user know the radio is locked in place and will not accidentally fall out. It is a simple system that gives genuine peace of mind in use.
Made from official Crye Multicam fabrics, the pouch mounts via 2 columns of MOLLE
to any compatible platform. It is lightweight, folds flat when empty, and offers fast access without compromising security.
