IFAK Refill Kit
The Luminae IFAK Refill Kit is a complete, mission-ready medical contents package designed to either replenish an existing IFAK pouch or build a full Individual First Aid Kit from scratch. It contains the critical medical components required to treat the most common preventable causes of death on the battlefield: catastrophic haemorrhage, airway obstruction and penetrating chest trauma.
All items are sourced from trusted, industry-standard medical manufacturers and meet the requirements of modern Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) principles.
Contents & Function
Wolf 4″ Trauma Bandage
A 4-inch pressure dressing combining an absorbent wound pad with an elastic wrap. Designed to apply sustained direct pressure over bleeding wounds, making it ideal for junctional injuries, head wounds, or any area where a tourniquet cannot be used.
Foxseal Vented Chest Seal
A self-adhesive, vented chest seal for treating open or penetrating chest wounds. It prevents air from being drawn into the chest cavity while allowing trapped air to escape, reducing the risk of tension pneumothorax.
Celox Rapid Haemostatic Gauze
Advanced haemostatic gauze that accelerates clot formation even in severe arterial bleeding, hypothermia, or compromised clotting conditions. Designed for deep wound packing and rapid haemorrhage control.
CAT (Combat Application Tourniquet)
A proven windlass tourniquet used to stop life-threatening bleeding from arms or legs. Allows one-handed or two-handed application and is standard issue across many NATO and special forces units.
Sharpie Marker
Used to mark tourniquet application time or other critical casualty information directly on equipment or the casualty.
Face Shield
A compact protective barrier for delivering rescue breaths while reducing risk of cross-contamination.
Nitrile Gloves (Pair)
Latex-free disposable gloves for responder protection and hygienic casualty care.
Tuff Cut Trauma Shears
Heavy-duty medical scissors designed to cut through uniforms, webbing and equipment to rapidly expose injuries.
Oropharyngeal Airway (OPA)
Rigid airway adjunct used to prevent the tongue from blocking the airway in unconscious casualties without a gag reflex.
Nasopharyngeal Airway (NPA)
Soft, flexible airway tube that maintains airway patency in semi-conscious casualties or when jaw clenching prevents oral airway use.
TPK Chest Decompression Needle
A large-bore catheter designed for emergency needle thoracostomy to relieve life-threatening tension pneumothorax. For use by trained medical personnel only.
